The Voice semi-finalist Christian Cuevas takes ’em to church and racks up 2 million YouTube views singing Israel Houghton’s ‘To Worship You I Live’.
#TeamAlicia contestant, Christian Cuevas, performed a moving rendition of Israel Houghton’s ‘To Worship You I Live’ on the popular show for the semi-finals. The song choice was to the delight the masses, it would seem, as the YouTube video of the performance has had over 2 million views since being uploaded on Dec 5. That far outstrips the views of the other semi-final performances with the second highest being 500k views for Ali Caldwell.
Christian was joined by Houghton on the night who stated on social media, “I’m so honored that he chose to sing one of my songs “To Worship You I Live” I Love his humble heart and his willingness to honor God on any and all platforms.”

Despite the internet buzz around the performance Christian Cuevas didn’t progress to the finals. However, the singer took the defeat graciously taking to Instagram to thank God saying, “Just know that God has been so good and you guys are in for a journey.”[spacer style=”1″]
