Thousands Of Men To Unite In Worship At Stoke Football Stadium

Rather than hearing fans cheering on their team, Stoke City Football Club is set to echo with the sound of thousands of men united in Christian worship next May.

On May 27, 2017 ‘We Are Men United’ will gather people from all walks of life to inspire and equip a nation of men to live for God’s glory.

We are men unitedAlong with inspiring messages and testimonies from people like Nigel Benn, Pastor Agu Irukwu, Paul Scanlon and evangelist Andrew Palau powerful times of worship will be led by Martin Smith, Robin Mark, Noel Robinson and others.

“What an honour to be involved in We Are Men United.  There’s nothing like getting a big crowd and getting everyone singing together.  It’s going to be fantastic,” explained former Delirious frontman Martin Smith.

He added: “It’s going to be an amazing day out.  We can all to go to a football match which is great, but this is going to be that plus more.”

Well respected Gospel artist Noel Robinson said:

“I’m so excited to be one of the worship leaders for We Are Men United. There’s something very profound and powerful that takes place when men gather to worship and pray together.  It’s going to signify something in the spiritual realm, as well as signal something around this nation when thousands of men are willing to pray like fathers and stand in that gap for a fatherless generation.”

Robin Mark, best known for his song Days of Elijah, also believes it’s going to be a very significant day:

“There is something pretty special about men’s voices raised in song. It’s a dynamic that is often only experienced at a sports event. But when carried over to praise and worship, and infused by the Holy Spirit, it is particularly stirring, and very special.”

Robin concluded by saying how important it is for churches to catch the vision for We Are Men United:

We are men united“If the churches can own and join together to be part of this, then, for sure, the impact could be huge. In fact, the unity and participation of the various denominations and expressions of the church are almost essential to the event.

“Also the opportunity for Christian men, who are witnesses in business, work, colleges and schools to join for one day with a company of other men, is going to be a great blessing and an encouragement.”
