We got an early listen of The People’s Christian Fellowship’s anticipated sophomore album ‘Great Is The Lord’ set to drop on 1st July.

Why is it anticipated? Well, firstly, their debut album was a breakthrough in terms of church choir projects with its progressive modern approach to its sound and arrangements, and secondly, this choir has some stand-out members including singers from the award-winning UK Gospel group ‘V9 Collective’.

ThePCF ChoirFounded in 1991, the PCF Choir is comprised of members of the People Christian Fellowship church based in Tottenham, north London. Since their formation, the PCF has sung throughout the UK and Europe and performed at prestigious events like the BBC’s first ever gospel Proms held at the Royal Albert Hall in 2013.

In 2002, the PCF Choir released their debut album ‘Praise Comes First’ to critical acclaim and are praying that ‘Great Is The Lord’ garners a similar type of response.  Pastor David, The PCF church Pastor and Choir Director shared,

“The recording of ‘Great Is The Lord’ was a team effort where everyone played their part. The choir sung beautifully and the finished result is inspiring. The songs on Great Is The Lord really focus on exalting and talking about the things He’s done that are great. We hope that those who get a chance to hear it will feel the same way.”

If you like your traditional gospel choir sound with a side serving of edgy and super cool then you’ll love this. Amazing vocals, beautiful harmonies and exciting arrangements, “Great Is The Lord” should certainly feature in any Christian’s playlist.
