‘Words Are Few’ is the first Gospel single released by Snoop Dogg and features the returning Gospel artist B-Slade. The single was released with a lyric/audio video and is already racking up major numbers.
As you would expect, “Words Are Few” holds no punches and has some of the most real lyrics you will hear on a Gospel track.
“Things ain’t what they seem
Feeling Like I’m fooling me
I know God is calling me
I’mm not where I’m ‘poose to be
Sitting here smoking trees
When I should be on my knees
When my words are few. “
B-Slade (formerly known as Tonex) also talks about his contentious walk with the Lord with his “you better SAANNGG” kind of vocals, and confirms that He is “back in the fold”.
Snoops’ Gospel album has been a hot topic of conversation since the rapper announced he was in studio working with the likes of Fred Hammond, Kim Burrel and B-Slade. Known for his songs, ‘Gin and juice’, ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ and ‘Sensual Seduction’ Snoop Dogg is one of the biggest names in mainstream hip-hop and has had a career spanning over 20 years. Is he looking to be one of the biggest names in Gospel music too? If it was solely down to numbers, he may have already gained that title in one day with one song.
