25 year-old Croydon rapper, Marc Jones, has released his second single, ‘Wrestling’ following his debut single, ‘Alright’.

With a unique blend of UK drill and rap ‘Wrestling’ is a fresh, non-explicit track that gives an energetic glimpse into Marc’s perspective on life and his ambition has to challenge cultural norms within Urban music in order to positively impact young people.

About the track the rapper said

As an emerging artist I felt it was important to create a song that gives people a strong idea of who I am. ‘Wrestling’ fuses hard-hitting production with thought-provoking content that I hope people will become accustomed to.
Stepped outta the house it’s a blessing, gotta go hard for the gang, till I get a tombstone like wrestling, 10 years deep in the ting, dem man thought I was messing, still give thanks to the King, tell dem man I ain’t stressing, like Pep so my team stay pressing.

Marc gives this chorus dual meaning by cleverly highlighting the fruitless notion of ‘going hard’ for a gang that could ultimately result in death alongside his view of pursuing a life of faith, thanks and blessing. Marc also references Manchester City football team’s manager Pep Guardiola alluding to his well-known philosophy of hard work.

Marc has already garnered support for his fresh new sound from other like-minded artists such as, two-time MOBO award-winning grime MC Guvna B as well as UK afrobeat rising star Happi.

‘Wrestling’ is available for download and stream on all major platforms.
