South London rapper/song-writer, Raph The Message, makes his debut to the UK Gospel scene with rap ballad ‘Love’.
Whilst Raph The Message may be new to the gospel scene he is no stranger to the music industry. Raph is the son of UK Reggae legend, Tippa Irie, so has music in his blood. He made his start in music in the South London grime scene with the group, South Soldiers, but since finding Christ Raph now uses his love of music to express his faith.
The track ‘Love’ explores the apprehension men have when falling for a woman in modern society contrasted with Raph’s interpretation of how God instructs men to love.
About the track Raph said, “My friend’s wife asked me to write a song for their wedding as she knew her husband-to-be would enjoy it. I had to draw on their experiences, but also my own relationship and my take on love. Most men don’t appreciate how great a good woman is, I think it’s a wonderful thing.”
