FaithChild Wins A Best Gospel Act MOBO Award

MOBO logoAt the first ever Pre-MOBO Award show and on the MOBO’s 20th Anniversary,  London-based Christian rapper Faith Child’ won a prestigious MOBO for Best Gospel Act 2015.

FaithchildHe’s already one of the UK’s most successful Christian rap artists with his sophomore album project, ‘Airborne’ entering into the Official UK Christian and Gospel Charts at number 5 and maintaining a top 10 position for 2 weeks. Faith Child is a presenter on an urban Gospel show called ‘Uprise’ which broadcast’s on OH TV  and is also a multi-award winner. Noted for his many talents, big personality, tenacity and loyal fan base, many people will not be surprised that he has added a prestigious MOBO award to his growing list of accolades.

Faith Child was nominated for a MOBO in the same category back in 2010, but fellow UK-based Christian Rap artist ‘Guvna B’ went home with the trophy that year. However it seems that this really is his season as he divulged during his interview on the Premier Gospel Radio Breakfast Show that he has been nominated for 5 awards in the past 5 weeks.

Upon winning the award Faith Child said; “I thank God for this amazing award. I want to say that delay is not denial and God’s time is always the best time. When things look like there falling apart they’re actually falling in place…”

The MOBO is an annual award ceremony celebrating Music of Black Origin since 1996. The televised event has grown from strength to strength and continues to highlight and celebrate the best in UK-based artists.
