Text: Isaiah 53 : 3 “He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. (Isaiah 53:3 NKJV)
Beloved, Jesus came to save his own from the sin & death penalty that was hanging over them. Yet they despised him and rejected him. This was what brother Isaiah witnessed in his day, in his generation. But you know what? Thousands of years have gone by and in my days, I still see people despise and reject the one who gave His life in exchange for them to have a new life with God. I hope you are not one of them.
One would ask me, how do I despise him? We despise him when we live our lives outside of His wishes, rules and commandments. We despise Him when we do not listen to his word but choose to live our lives the way we feel is best for us. We despise Him when we do not pay attention to His instructions but rather follow the instructions of the world. We equally reject Him when we do not represent His love, life, character, behaviour to our world & generation.
I believe that this Easter season when we remember what He did to give us another chance, that you will truly reflect upon your life and begin to admire and accept Jesus as truly your LORD & SAVIOUR. May everything in your life inside and outside receive the resurrection power of Christ this Easter- Amen.
