Bill Rogers said ”Don’t let yesterday use up too much of today”. And the bible says in Mathew 6:34 “do not worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own”.
The above words are wise words and good counsel to follow. There is not enough time today for us to worry about yesterday and tomorrow. Every day of our life has its own grace to see us through the day. We build up stress when we pile up yesterday’s worries and troubles to today’s worries and trouble. This is heaviness to the heart and soul. Each day has its own worries and troubles. However, we should learn to draw strength from yesterday by learning from our mistakes or our failings and use it as a stepping stone to our tomorrow. Today, let’s learn to end each day properly by evaluating our day and settle the account of yesterday before another day begins. From now on, let us practice to start the day with a new slate and give it a fresh start. This is a good medicine for our spirit, soul and our body.
