Independent UK Charts company, aStepFWD, bring together a host of #1 Christian artists for an online charity concert, Christmas Live 2016.
aStepFWD’s sophmore event, Christmas Live, is back this year streaming live on Facebook from Smokehouse Studios in East London. The live-lounge type concert will feature a host of artists that reached the Number 1 spot throughout 2016 on aStepFWD’s independent Christian & Gospel Singles Chart.
In true Band Aid style the concert will be more than a jolly to showcase UK Gospel talent but will include a ‘web-a-thon’ to raise funds and awareness for the increasing homelessness issue across the UK. O’Neil Dennis, founder of aStepFWD said, “A recent article in the Metro newspaper declared that the homelessness figure in the UK is currently at over 250,000 and rising. We are intent on doing our part to support the tireless work by charities including London City Mission and many others to aid those affected especially women and children.”
The ‘web-a-thon’ will feature the sale of a special ‘Christmas Collection’ album that will be digitally available during the concert. £1 from every album sale will go to homeless charity work and awareness, the organisation aim to raise £500 on the night. The ‘Christmas Collection’ album has been thoughtfully compiled and features a wide range of genres from the Christian & Gospel scene. Artists include LCGC, Aaron T Aaron, Vivienne Neville, Guvna B, Ricardo Williams, Rachel Kerr, Ian Yates, Ekklesia, Joshua Kesler and Becca Folkes, to more.
